The Eclipse Noridic Hot Springs Hair Freezing Contest is an annual winter contest. Entries have now closed for the 2019/2020 season, however, to enter in a future year, visit Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs any day during the contest period when the temperature is below -20°C. We are located twenty minutes north of Whitehorse, Yukon. During the 2019/2020 contest, contestants had the chance to win $2000 and free soaks in the previous hot springs facility, and a 12 punch pass for the new facility when open for business. For every person that entered the contest, our sponsor Tim Hortons donated to the Outreach Van and Nongshim Noodles donated 5 packs of instant noodles to the Whitehorse Food Bank!
On April 1, 2020 one winner was selected for each of the following categories:
Nongshim is a Korean instant noodle company operating all over the world. This year they have sponsored the People's Choice Award for our Hair Freezing Contest. Nongshim has agreed to donate 5 packs of instant noodles to the Whitehorse Food Bank for every entry into our contest. Every participant will also receive a free bowl of noodles upon completion of participation in the Hair Freezing Contest. Tim Hortons is an iconic national brand in Canada and in many other parts of the world. This year they are sponsoring our Most Creative category and with their help, every entry into the contest will see a fixed dollar amount donated to the Outreach Van, managed by Blood Ties. Nongshim and Tim Hortons sponsorship has allowed us to expand the contest's total prize money and contest infrastructure. We sincerely hope this will encourage even more participation in our unique contest!
